Troy J. Hahn serves as Chief Information Officer and Assistant Vice President of Queens College. As the CIO, Hahn directs the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS), which supports the IT needs of the college administratively and academically. He is also responsible for developing the college’s technology strategy and providing leadership and direction concerning the technical operations of the college’s core academic and administrative applications, network, telephone, and data systems.

Business Operations

Business Operations provides end user support in the following areas: Client Services, Field Services, Q-Card Office, Service Desk, Training & Cybersecurity.

Campus Distribution

Campus Distribution consists of the mailroom and Central Receiving. The mailroom sorts, processes, and distributes incoming and outgoing U.S. Postal Service mail as well as interoffice and intercampus mail. Central Receiving manages incoming and outgoing packages from such companies as UPS and FedEx as well as direct shipments from private companies.

Cybersecurity

The cybersecurity division protects the security of data that crosses the networks and promotes the preservation of personal security and privacy for the campus community.

Instructional Technology

Instructional Technology provides support, planning and development of campus classrooms and labs.

Strategic Operations

Strategic Operations oversees the following areas: IT Infrastructure Services, Networking Services and Enterprise Applications. The IT Strategic Operations division provides the back-end support for many of the services that provide communication and computer systems on campus such as e-mail, telephone services, qwifi, and IT Security.
